I actually conceived this song as a “happiness” song with “I don’t need a reason to be happy” as its chorus. But, I just wanted to add a reason to that happiness and thus arrived at the party theme. Although we experimented with slower tempos, we found that the current tempo lent itself well to the mood of the song.
